Personality[/u]
Emily is a quiet, gental, nice, and sometimes a shy person. But once you get past her 'shell', she's a fun, playful, and occationally sarcastic person. She's a true cowgirl, tough, strong, and great with horses. She loves all animals, and is often found taking in a stray dog and searching for it's owner, or even buying a horse or two from the auction yard and giving them another chance at life.

History[/u]
Emily's past is a nasty, painful thing. She grew up with an abusive father, and a drug addict for a mother. When Emily was just five years-old, her grandmother died, which really hurt because her grandma was the only person who seemed to care about little Em. By the time Emily turned 7, her parents were taken away and she was brought to a family, to get a fresh start. From there untill she was 17, life was pretty simple.
The family of four, Mom, Dad, an older brother named Aaron, who was two years older then Em, then Em, lived on a ranch for all the 10 years Emily was there, so that's when she found her love and gift with horses, she and Aaron were best friends from day one. They were inseperable untill a car accident brought Aaron's life to a quick end. Aaron and Emily had been on their way home from a rodeo that Em had taken her horse to ride barrels in. They were simply going through a green light and a drunk ran the red light and blind-sided the driver's side of the truck, injuring Aaron to the extent that he died in the hospital four days later of internal bleeding. The horse was also snapped it's two right front and back legs after the impact of the crash caused the trailer to tip, and needed to be put down at the scene. Emily on the other hand, was taking to the hospital with several broken ribs, a punctured lung, broken collar bone, and cracked wrist. All her injuries healed, but the scars on both her heart, and body will most likely never heal.
After the accident itself, her adoptive mother and father blamed her for months after the accident, and that's when Emily ran. She took her clothes, her dog Liberty, and little money she had and went out on her own, never to speak to her family again. Her running has now brought her to Mountain Ridge, a ranch she hopes will be somewhere she can now call home.

Roleplaying Example[/u]
I told you you'd do great! The dark haired young man who sat in the driver's seat of the Ford F-250 praised the brunette in the passenger's seat, motioning to the brand new belt buckle in the girl's hands.
Emily and her best friend Aaron were on their way home from a rodeo in which Emily had competed with her horse, Quick Step in the barrel racing. She had gotten the fastest time in the event, and had taken the blue ribbon, aswell as a brand new belt buckle to add to her collection.
Noo...I didn't do that great. It was Quick Step who did all the work. I just-Aaron! Look out!!! Emily's sentance was cut off by the loud screech of tires, then the sickening sound of crunching metal. The young woman's body was thrown against the passenger's side door, and she instinctivly covered her head with her arms, trying to avoid the flying glass.
Within seconds it was all over. Their pickup truck had flipped once, but now sat on all four wheels, and the horse trailer was on it's side behind it. There was a deafening silence before panic struck the girl. There was a sharp, stabbing pain in her side, she couldn't breathe, and her left wrist had a deep gouge and was throbbing horribly, but her only thought was on her brother. Hands scrambled for the seatbelt, but it was jammed. She tucked her injured wrist to her chest and squirmed from under the safety belt. Her attention was now on getting Aaron out, who was unconcious in the driver's seat, and she saw his head was cut and bleeding. Emily felt blood trickle down the back of her neck, but she ignored it as she climbed across the seat and tugged at his seatbelt. No no NO! she screamed in her head, then she remembered her pocket knife that she always carried when she was around Quick Step, incase he got hung up or somethin'. She whipped out the small knife and started cutting carefully at the seatbelt. In a few moments, she cut through it and Aaron was free. Come on, come on, wake up... The cowgirl was nearly sobbing as she begged the unconcious male. She reached up and wiped some of the blood from his face. A soft, painful groan slipped past Aaron's lips as he forced his eyes open. Aaron, please. Please! Please wake up! Come on!! A wimper followed Emily's pleading sentance, and it must have worked, because the man stirred once again. He opened his eyes and lifted his head up slowly, Emsy...you alright...? it seemed like all the energy Aaron had was put into that single sentance, because he rested his head back and closed his eyes, his breaths shuddering. Stay with me, buddy, stay with me. Tears and blood was streaming down Emily's face from God-knows-where, but she didn't give a shit.
In the distance, sirens roared, getting progressively louder as they neared the scene of the accident. Emily had somehow dragged Aaron from the truck and the two layed collapsed on the ground a few yards away from the two crushed vehicles. The other driver was pretty much ok, except the fact he was passed out in his truck right now. Em's breathing had become more painful and difficult, but her worry was on the fact Aaron had been coughing up blood. Which told her either he messed up his mouth, or something inside was bleeding. She prayed it was his mouth.
As two ambulances skidded to a hault a short distance from the scene, Emily shifted closer to Aaron, who was once again unconcious.
