OOC Rules
-Swearing is allowed. In fact, you could use a curse word in every damn sentence. It doesn't bother me a bit. So for people that it does bother, you have been warned.
-Porn is strictly prohibited in all OOC areas.
-No racism.
-No religiously offensive material.
-Don't steal! That means everything here, the text and images belong to Mountain Ridge Ranch(or their original owners). Do not be afraid to post your own art. That is 100% yours if you post it as just showing it off.
-No intentionally starting flame wars.
-Keep chat speak to a minimum.
-There are some people we just do not get along with. If you have an issue with a member, report it, do not take matters into your own hands.
-Respect! It applies everywhere, so it applies here.
-If you get an inappropriate message or something, please take a screen shot and send it to us mods rather than just pointing fingers. We can't do anything without proof. To take a screenshot, near your F12 button and Num Lock there should be a button that looks like this:

Even if it isn't EXACTLY the same, it should look somewhat like it. Then paste it into some art program (MS Paint, Gimp, ect) and save it. Upload it to a image hosting site (Photobucket, Tinypic, ect) and then send me (or another mod) the direct link via private message.
IC Rules
-Swearing is allowed. It can be used in every sentence if wanted.
-If your characters must get their, uh, "freak" on please either do it in PM (personal messages) or elsewhere. Mature sexual content on the boards is against the ProBoards T.O.S.
-Rape and sex is allowed in the roleplay, just follow above rules.
-Characters may hate each other and be mean. Don't take it personally.
-No Mary-sues!
-No power-playing.
-No God-modding.
-No chatspeak.
-Your character must be accepted before you begin to roleplay.
-There is an unlimited character count. Just try to keep them all active. If there is a character you don't want anymore you can either give them away to another person or have something happen to them.
-You must have at least 100 words in a post. ONLY 100 words, because many people run out of muse easily. 100 words isn't a lot, guys. There is a word count below: use it.

Definitions:
POWER-PLAYING: When you do something (ex. injure) to another person's character without permission.
Examples:
Good Rping - Sam glared at Kevin, and ran toward him at full speed. He held his arm out, and prepared to punch him right in the gut.
Bad Rping - Sam glared at Kevin, and ran toward him at full speed. He out his fist and gave him a hard blow to the stomach. It caused Kevin to stumble backwards, while Sam was smirking at his accomplishment.
When fighting, you always let your opponent decide whether it was a successful hit or not.
In the "Good" Rping example, Sam is giving Kevin a choice whether he is hit or not. Kevin could say either "Sam managed to knock him down, but he quickly gathered himself back up." OR "Kevin dodged the attack by a just a few inches." In the "Bad" example Sam gives Kevin no choice.
GOD-MODDING - Being invincible and overly powerful.
If Kevin never allows Sam to hit him it is not only unfair but it is unrealistic.
CHAT-SPEAKING - Speaking in "codes" I like to call them. It is "text message talk" or "texting abbreviations." It is very annoying to some of our members here.
Example:
Chat-speak: he11o wots up? sum1 tak 2 me!!11! nm i gtg l8ter
I hope I speak for everyone when I say this:
I do NOT want to have to decode every sentence!
MARY-SUES - A mary-sue is a perfect character. Here is an example of a short human form.
Name: Mary-Sue
Age: 21
Description: Mary-Sue is wonderful in all ways. She helps everyone and always thinks of others before herself. She is kind, caring, and can handle anything! She has a perfect skin tone and flawless skin with hazel eyes. Her brown hair falls perfectly onto her shoulders and curls naturally. Overall, she is perfect.
Perfect, perfect, perfect!! Isn't that form rather boring??
